Just a few steps away from the moon... India's Chandrayaan-3 mission cost less than a third of the budget of 'Avatar'!

Launch of PSLV-C57/Aditya-L1 Mission: The lander module of Chandrayaan-3 is circling near the Moon. It is likely to land on the moon on the evening of 23 August. If the lander of Chandrayaan-3 does not find a suitable place for landing on August 23, 2023, between 5.30 to 6.30 pm, then the landing can be postponed.

This is a kind of backup plan. Or in other words, every scientist makes a plan B for his mission. ISRO has done the same.

ISRO has a center in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Its name is Space Application Center (SAC). Its director Nilesh M. Desai said that on August 23, 2023, two hours before the landing, the chief scientists of ISRO will decide whether the landing should be done or not.

Desai said that in this we will see whether we are getting a suitable place to land or not. How is the condition of the lander? Also what is the condition of the Moon's atmosphere and surface.

Is it worth getting off? If any mistake is found or doubt arises. So the landing of Chandrayaan-3 will be on 27 August 2023. If there is no problem, then the landing will be done on 23 August.

Ahmedabad center has made a special device for landing

The LHDAC camera is specifically designed for the purpose of how to safely land the Vikram lander on the lunar surface. It has been developed by the Space Applications Center, Ahmedabad itself.

Along with this, some more payloads will help during landing, namely- Lander Position Detection Camera (LPDC), Laser Altimeter (LASA), Laser Doppler Velocimeter (LDV) and Lander Horizontal Velocity Camera (LHVC) will work together. So that the lander can be landed on a safe surface.

At what speed will the lander land on the surface of the moon?

When Vikram Lander will land on the surface of the Moon, its speed will be about 2 meters per second. But the horizontal speed will be 0.5 meters per second. Vikram Lander can land at an inclination of 12 degrees. All these instruments will help Vikram Lander to ascertain its speed, direction and flat ground. All these devices will be activated about 500 meters before landing.

It will work after landing four payloads

After this, all the four payloads fitted in Vikram Lander will start working. This is Rambha (Rambha). It will investigate the density, quantity and diversity of plasma particles received from the Sun on the Moon's surface. Chaste, it will probe the lunar surface heat i.e. temperature. ILSA will monitor seismic activity around the landing site. The Laser Retroreflector Array (LRA) will try to understand the dynamics of the Moon.
